CES 2022 Closes Early

CES 2022 Closes Early

Article by Dr. Terry Kibiloski

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA), announced that CES 2022, originally scheduled for January 5-8, 2022, in Las Vegas NV, closed one day earlier, on January 7th as an additional safety measure to the current health protocols that have been put in place for CES. Over 2,200 exhibitors exhibited in person at CES 2022. All in-person attendees were required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If proof of COVID-19 vaccination was not shown, attendees did not receive their CES 2022 badge to access the official show venues.

For those who were unable to travel to CES, or opted out due to other reasons, they had the option to join CES digitally for more than 40 livestreamed conference sessions, keynotes, press conferences, and direct communication with exhibitors at CES 2022. Other press events, like Pepcom and ShowStoppers, also offered virtual attendance for those who were unable to attend in person. As we do each year, Computer Times’ editors will be providing detailed articles about the latest and greatest products from the main official CES event and the various press-only events.
