CES 2019: Pre-Show

CES 2019: Pre-Show

By Angie Kibiloski

Can you believe it’s already 2019, and time for another CES (Consumer Electronics Show)???  Time sure does fly!  I’ve arrived in Las Vegas, and I’m gearing up to go full steam ahead this week, to bring you my highlights, and favorite products from the biggest technology trade show on the planet!  With over 4,500 exhibiting companies, and an expected attendance of over 180,000 people, CES 2019 is gonna be HUGE!  There is no way I can cover it all, but I’ll give it my best effort for you, my readers.  I’m sure my week, and subsequent articles, will be filled with cool discoveries in all the major areas, like wearables, smart home devices, educational toys, and health.

Tomorrow night (Monday), will be Pepcom‘s Digital Experience, one of my absolute favorite Press parties of the show, where more than 200 top companies gather to exhibit their newest tech, exclusively to members of the Press.  This gives me the best chance to get my hands on the coolest new products to tell you about.  Tuesday marks the opening of the Convention Show Floor, which is spread primarily throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center and the Sands/Venetian Convention Center, though every year it expands into more and more surrounding hotel space.  Also on Tuesday is ShowStoppers, another one of the major Press events, featuring another almost 200 companies, exclusively for Press viewing.  This party has a special place in my heart (and stomach) because they have incredible food, to keep my energy up as I discover the very best the show has to offer.  It’s good to be Press!  The Convention Show Floor has many treasures too, though they are harder to discover amidst the massive, ever-growning crowds that CES draws.  The Show Floor is not just for Press, but it sure is a lot of fun!

Come back every day this week for detailed articles about all the cool products I found at the parties and the show, and then make sure you keep your eyes open for continuing coverage over the next several months.  I’ll have Editor’s Choice reviews on products I was able to get in for review, to take a more in-depth look at.  I hope you enjoy all the coming CES coverage, I know I will enjoy bringing it to you!
